Forged in darkness, Unblessed Divine emerged from the minds of Lee Wollenschlaeger (ex-Malevolent Creation) and Michal Grall (ex-Sinister). Combining elements of Death, Black, Industrial, and Symphonic metal, the band crafts an atmosphere steeped in the most extreme and obscure aspects of the genre.

In September 2020, the band recorded their debut EP, The Coming Darkness, quickly capturing the attention of the underground and leading to a signing with Massacre Records. Following the easing of pandemic restrictions, the band teamed up with session drummer Michał Łysejko (Dieth, ex–Decapitated) to record their full-length debut. The result, Portal to Darkness, was released on August 18, 2023, delivering an immersive journey through darkened soundscapes.

In 2025, founding member Lee Wollenschlaeger stepped down due to personal reasons. This transition allowed Unblessed Divine to regroup with a unified lineup based in one country. Shortly after their debut gig, Unblessed Divine emerged as a winner of the Road To Mystic 2026 competition. Out of nearly 400 participating bands, they claimed victory with “an overwhelming amount of fan votes,” resulting in a slot at Mystic Festival 2026 alongside legendary metal acts.

Unblessed Divine isn’t stopping here. With more live dates on the horizon, the band is already working on new tracks for a forthcoming EP and a follow-up full-length studio album.
