Forged in darkness and driven by passion, Unblessed Divine emerged from the minds of Lee Wollenschlaeger (ex–Malevolent Creation) and Michal Grall (ex–Sinister). Combining elements of Death Metal, Black Metal, Industrial, and Symphonic music, the band set out to craft an atmosphere steeped in the most extreme and obscure aspects of Metal.
In September 2020, the band entered the studio to record their debut EP, The Coming Darkness, a release that quickly captured attention within the extreme metal underground. The strength of their sound led Massacre Records to sign the band shortly after.
By early 2021, Unblessed Divine had completed the writing for their first full-length album. Once pandemic restrictions eased, Lee and Michal returned to the studio with session drummer Michał Łysejko (Dieth, ex–Decapitated) to record their debut album under the Massacre banner. The result, Portal to Darkness, was released on August 18th, 2023, delivering a powerful and immersive journey through the depths of darkened soundscapes.
Following the release of videos for “Book of Lies” and “I Feed,” the band continued writing new material while preparing for their first live performances.
In 2025, founding member Lee Wollenschlaeger stepped down from the band due to personal reasons. This transition allowed Unblessed Divine to regroup with a unified lineup based in one country. With a renewed sense of focus, the band is now gearing up for live shows and putting the finishing touches on their second full-length album.
